Tour Description: Take the Green Technology tour and experience the first Platinum Certified Green Building in the U.S. that is totally powered with solar energy. The Audubon Center is a 5,065 square foot office and conference center in the middle of Los Angeles, the second largest city in the U.S. There is no gas line nor sewer connection (the wastewater is treated on site), only municipal water is provided. The Center is an example of a "perfect solar marriage" of passive solar, solar thermal and solar PV as well as a learning center on how people and nature can live in harmony. The tour will include a presentation on "Solar Absorption Air Conditioning, Space Heating & Water Heating" at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Tour Fee: $5 donation to the Audubon Center

Location: 4700 N. Griffin Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90031 in Highland Park (From downtown take 110 Fwy to Pasadena and get off at Ave 43, go right one block to Griffin Ave., and make a left on Griffin to Audubon Center ½ mile). Call: (323) 221.2255 or email: info@sunutility.com or alan@eco-now.net

Tour: Registration opens at 9:30 am. Tour begins every hour on the hour.
